Luncheon Keynote Speaker, October 7, 2008

Leslie Galway, Chief Executive Officer, Workplace Health, Safety Compensation Commission, NL will present "Early and Safe Return to Work - The Roles of the Workplace Parties". Her presentation will outline the benefits to the worker and the employer regarding the processes of bringing an injured worker back into the workplace through one of the WHSCC disability management programs.

For more than 30 years, the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) has been a national leader in employment equity and in promoting and supporting the hiring of persons with disabilities in Canada.

The goal of our Conference is to commence the development of a framework for a National Employment Delivery Strategy for persons with disabilities. This will align with today’s emerging workforce as it struggles to increase its human resources and search untapped labour pools. The audience will be diverse and consist of Job Seekers with disabilities, Employment Specialists and other experts, from across Canada, who will share their knowledge and experience and assist in moving this agenda forward.
