I am so happy that they helped me find a job!

Rebecca came to CCRW for support in re-entering the workforce in a long-term, meaningful capacity. Prior to working with CCRW, Rebecca had recently completed a six-month placement as a cleaner/housekeeper through Progress Place, and reported to have enjoyed the experience. Rebecca was looking to continue working as a cleaner/housekeeper, however she was looking for a more long-term opportunity as she found short-term placements to be negatively impacting her mental health.

With CCRW staff support, Rebecca was able to create an updated resume highlighting her skills/abilities/experiences as a cleaner/housekeeper. Following this, CCRW staff supported Rebecca in finding and applying to positions of interest through an online job search. Additionally, CCRW staff worked to establish meaningful partnerships with local employers in hopes of connecting Rebecca with an interested and appropriate employer. Through this partnership building, CCRW staff was able to connect Rebecca with Villa Colombo – a non-for-profit organization looking to hire for housekeeping/laundry positions.

Once training was complete, Rebecca started as a Laundry Aide with Villa Colombo with CCRW staff support. Today, Rebecca continues to work at Villa Colombo as a Laundry Aide and hopes that through this experience additional opportunities will arise.

“ I would like to  thank Stephen Irish and Vanessa Parodi for all their support.  They are very helpful , and I am so happy that they helped me find a job.  Thanks!”.
